We provide professional development opportunities to high school STEM teachers around Siouxland area through the QuarkNet Center at the University of South Dakota. The center also organizes masterclasses of particle physics for enthusiastic high school students. 

Undergraduate

We provide research opportunities to talented undergraduates year round. We provide competitive hourly rate or research credits according to individual students' capability and needs. Feel free to directly discuss with Jing Liu about your interests, tasks, duration, hourly rate, working hours, etc., if you are interested in obtaining research experience early.

We welcome enthusiastic USD graduate students to join the team. Feel free to contact Jing Liu for a lab tour to learn more about what we are doing.

If you want to get enrolled in the USD physics graduate program, please contact Prof. Joel Sander, our graduate coordinator for detailed instruction, and go through the standard application process. Contacting Jing Liu before or during the application process does not give you any advantage over other applicants.

Postdoc

We provide opportunities to collaborate with researchers from prominent research institutes, such as ORNL, LBNL, etc. If you don't mind traveling, we will provide you adequate opportunities to build up your career network through workshops, meetings, and conferences.
